Why do you have the extra gear on the right side of the PM? For the puls counter like in the original FT mobile robots?

Hi Thomas,
Just for stability. The same reason why I use multible verbindung pieces. The stability must be as high as possible to predict it’s straight way. I have seen already that the two motors have to be compensated with a algorithm.
I am constantly measuring the left and right side of the vehicle. The ‘speed’ variables of the left and right motor are constantly adjusted in order to have a straight line, or stear as good as possible.
So my anwser is Stability!
